WAORANI

In this essay the waorani tribe are the only tribe that live in the Amazon Rainforest and they also believe that they are the only people in the world that are still alive. They have learned to become more in there natural habitat over the years that they are alive.

We will show and tell you about the tools and their weapons and how they will make and use them to survive in the Amazon Rainforest. The Waorani men made there own tools by getting resources from the forest and making them by themselves following in there fathers footsteps while the women make their sons and husbands to sleep on or most elderly women stay in the camp site area and make food for when the men come back with some food to eat for them. The things they killed the animals with were darts and they made these by going into the rainforest and looking for a tree called curare this is a vine that has poisonous bark used to make poison darts for the blow pipes, the darts were made from the spine of vine leaves but to use the darts they had to make a blow pipe and they made a blow pipe by getting a chonta a hardwood palm the blow pipes take around seven weeks to make and are over nine feet long it is a very high skilled job that children (boys) learn from there fathers and grandfathers. When they are at home not hunting they are making more darts out of wood and then they heat the poison and smooth the darts out so it easier for the men to shoot at there pray.
